Who do we Support?

In a world brimming with diverse communities and unique aspirations, support and empowerment hold the key to unlocking endless possibilities. And that is exactly what we do with our supported ministries.

Safe Haven Community Center & Children's Home is safe space for children to live, learn and laugh as they journey through specialised programs fostering growth, healing, and development. At Safe Haven we practice holistic child-centered care.

Our programs are purposeful, and our intent is clear: to focus on the rights of the child including their educational needs, physical and medical health, emotional and spiritual needs.

The children that are referred to Safe Haven have experienced severe trauma, abject neglect, abandonment and various forms of abuse. Their life experiences have been coloured with despair, disappointment, and rejection. But these experiences do not define them or their futures.

Saved to Serve Christ Church

SSCC is a group of Christian Churches that provide spiritual, emotional and practical teaching and support to their members and their local communities in Tatalon, Fairview and Southville.  Examples of SSCC's work include:

  •  Mentoring Programs: Real Men Love Jesus, Brave Women, and Cross and Crown Youth Group.  These programs aim to provide practical training, discipleship and support for people experiencing a range of social issues.

  • Visitation and Pastoral Care: supporting people and churches in the surrounding community.

  • Disaster Relief: SSCC provides practical support to both the surrounding community and communities further afield, responding to specific needs during times of natural disaster.

Education
is Key

KSCSI has a long history of providing education to both Primary and High school studnts at its Tatalon location.

Recently the Manila Government built a new Skyway which resulted in the need to demolish the school building. The school moved to an online format while the new buildings have been undergoing construction. They hope to be in the new building soon.

In the mean time not only will the school begin the new school year with a new name, Grace and Favor Christian School, it will start face to face teaching in a temporary premise with the goal being to grow the school to help provide funding to move into and complete the new building in Tatalon.

The staff and school board are trusting God during this time and believe that KSCSI will grow and thrive. They thank God for His grace and favour to the school and know that He provides, He sustains and He supernaturally intervenes for His people.

Education Scholarships

Access to education can make a big difference in helping to break the cycle of poverty in a family.

graceWorks Australia provides education scholarships for students studying in Years 11-12 or for undertaking higher education. Scholarships for one year of study are granted when funds are available and must be applied for through the Scholarships page.

Australians who seek to provide an ongoing scholarship for a young person in Manila can contact graceWorks Australia to make the necessary arrangements.

Believers of the Most High, Family Ministry Inc.

The Believers of the Most High Family Ministry Inc. (BOMH Inc.) is located at 906 Gawad Kalinga Street, Bagong Barrio Balasing Sta. Maria Bulacan Philippines.

It starts with a few families who aim to give glory to our Lord and share the good news with a community called Gawad Kalinga, a resettlement area or free housing provided by the government for the poorest of the poor families who were formerly living under bridges and roadsides. Currently, we are sharing the Word of God, feeding programs, and other community services in Barangay. BOMH Inc. does not yet have its land and house of worship, so it rents a small place

Currently, 20 families are cared for by the ministry and about 50-70 children aged 4yrs old to 12 years old continue to be out-reached through the Feeding Program with the help of members and sponsors who give 1000 pesos every other week to sustain the Feeding program. If the Lord will let the Grace Work Australia and Believers of the Most High Family Ministry Inc. be partners. We would like to reach more families and not only share the Word of God but also help them with their needs. And have a Scholarship for children who cannot study due to lack of finances and also sustain the Feeding Program. We would like also to provide a Livelihood Program to every family.

Other Programs

Play Group

Safe Haven facilitates a Play Group for children aged 3-4 years old who live nearby in an area of extreme poverty. The children come to Safe Haven Community Center where they are provided with morning tea before engaging in a time of social interaction that includes pre-learning activities. When the mothers come to collect their children, Safe Haven provides lunch for the children and their mothers.

Ear Health Clinic

This program is temporarily on hold

In August 2016, Safe Haven initiated a community-focused, ear health intervention program in partnership with local and international medical practitioners to combat chronic ear disease amongst children.

Photographic images of the ears and patient records are sent to medical support professionals online, enabling remote diagnosis and monitoring of progress, with adjustment of treatment as needed. Whilst treatment is notoriously difficult, the Safe Haven ear clinic has seen encouraging results thus far.

Her Haven

The 'Her Haven’ women and children’s retreat focuses on supporting women living in severe poverty in the Philippines.

Partnering with Safe Haven Community Centre and Children’s Home, the team travelling there in the next school holidays will provide mothers and their children with a much-needed break in a safe, nurturing environment where they will hear the gospel message 🌺

'I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.'
